Trip pics - days 1~3!

For anyone who's interested in seeing what we saw, and what we did, here are some pics (I apologize in advance for the smudge on our camera...it keeps coming and going, so frustrating! I think it's time for a new camera):

The first night Amy spent with us in Portland - her first time away from her boys. We did initiatories in the Portland Temple - what a beautiful temple. It was wonderful to be there together also.
We ended the evening by going to Kell's - an Irish Pub. Seriously some of the best restaurant food ever!
The following day we spent in downtown Portland going to a bookstore, Penzey's (spice store), stopping at a mansion being renovated, seeing the rose garden, looking at homes, meeting up with Brad and boys at the Washington City Park, and going to dinner at a pasta place - Grassa, where the boys loved watching and eating the pasta being made. (Amy has even better pictures than I do if you want to take a gander at her blog)

The next day Rach and I drove to Mt. Rainier. While it was a really beautiful drive we weren't able to see the mountain very well. It was drizzling on the way up, but by the time we got there it was full on rain, and fog. After we finished there we drove up to a little town called Bellingham - super cute. We loved that town. While I didn't get pics of the town itself we did manage to get a few of the ocean from the few locations we could get to.
This is what we saw of Mt. Rainier:
This is what we should have seen:
Obviously, we didn't!
This is what "little" we saw when the clouds parted for a brief moment:
Still, it was beautiful. Here are some waterfalls we saw, and since we needed a picture of ourselves there we drove off on a side road and made our own Kodak moment, or Canon!
    Bellingham:
This concludes days 1, 2 & 3 of our trip. More to come later, like tomorrow. But today I have things to do, places to go and people to see! :)

  1. So I went through the pictures before reading the blog and saw the lodge picture with the mountain behind and was like, "That is amazing! I don't remember seeing that on her camera!" Then I read it... haha, no wonder I don't remember it :) You guys both look so beautiful in your snapshot :)
