We left for Tillamook on Wednesday morning. It was a pretty drive but we skipped breakfast since we got lost trying to find some place to eat. But once in Tillamook we enjoyed the Tillamook cheese factory. They had a little cafe there that we ate at so we were very happy. We went on the self-guided tour and then to the gift shops. We didn't end up getting very much but I was able to find something for my roommate. We shared a rocky road ice cream bowl and then headed for a scenic drive.
Somewhere along the lines we took a wrong turn (shocking, right, with me behind the wheel.). Sadly we didn't get to see the lighthouse we wanted to (sorry Mom). And I might have gotten a little tense and testy at one or several points on the journey home (again, sorry Mom). But we made it. And I was very grateful that the accident that stopped us wasn't us and it changed my perspective and attitude.
Our adventure is at an end but we had a blast. Thanks Mom for being my road trip companion. We'll have to do it again sometime!
