Darci's birthday; Maci's blessing; and Yellowstone :)

We left for Idaho on August 28th, after Pat had worked all morning. As a result we drove to Twin Falls on Wednesday night/morning, arriving at our hotel at 12:30 AM! Boy, were we tired.

On our way there we had some rain in Nevada, and a smudge of a rainbow, which was kind of pretty. The clouds were pretty amazing too. Oh, and we had a good deal of smoke from the Rim Fire starting in Reno, for 2-3 hours. My eyes were certainly happy to get out of that!

We also were able to celebrate Miss Darci's 2nd birthday. We all went out to dinner after Craig, Angie and kiddo's arrived; then we went to Sam and Linzi's to have Oreo Cookie Cake! Yummm! :)

 Saturday we went to Yellowstone. So beautiful.

Sam and Linzi took us to Firehole Falls, off the beaten path. 

I'm so glad they did.

Since his glasses were being repaired the binoculars came in quite handy.

 Everyone, except Pat and I, had walked to a particular area, but I was happy to just see this. It was uphill so I couldn't do it unless I wanted my knee to be in pain. Still, we enjoyed the scenery, and the time together.
Angie, thanks for keeping me company for a while. :)

 It was a long day. Ryles fell asleep in our backseat. 

What a little talker! When she wasn't asleep she was chatting! So cute!

 So, we were beginning to think that we wouldn't spot any Bison, but suddenly there were a bunch. 

Made everyone's day!

We had a great time in Idaho. It was hard to leave and come home, but it was time.
